Nov 9, 2021 · Run with Wi-Fi connected, same issue. Run without Wi-Fi or ethernet cable connected, same issue. Boot PS5 after USB reset, do and finish initial setup, a few seconds in the start screen - same issue. Booted to Safe Mode, do "Update System Software" again, same as above, same issue.

I just found a solution: plug in a USB SSD, then move the games to the drive. After the games are moved, unplug the drive. The games will no longer show on the console at all. This works for disc-based games as well as digital games. EDIT: You may still see the game on the Home Screen. If so, click the options button then “Remove from Home.”.
