Nov 16, 2020 · I found the Xbox controller to be very good actually. I had to make a custom key binding for it though. Where I had x, y, a, b as modifier keys. Which required hand editing the xml and then making it read only, otherwise when star citizen started it would rewrite the file and remove the modifier keys/buttons.

The swappable flightstick cams are the best part of the sticks. In fact everything is designed for opening up and customizing. The sticks, pedals, and throttle came with a bunch of optional parts. non of the throttle detents work well with Star Citizen. There are 2 fixed positions to screw them in.

Nov 19, 2019 · As far as I understand you just plug the Xbox One controller in via USB connection. Star Citizen has default game pad mapping, I have seen it when i was helping my friend use his game pad for Star Citizen. It works by default. If you want to sit back with a gamepad, I suggest using a wireless keyboard as well.

May 31, 2022 · So I bought a dual t16000m thrustmaster sticks one and half month ago. And I already decided to order the VKB NTX EVO dual stick. I would recommend going dual sticks (HOSAS) and not a throttle + stick (HOTAS)because Star citizen is a space game and you need a stick in left hand for all the axis movements. You don't fly planes here.

Aug 17, 2023 · I use the four paddles on the back for Q,E, left and right mouse button. You simply assign the four buttons to keyboard commands using the Steam desktop configuration for the controller; you have to disable all the other buttons, though, otherwise they conflict with Star Citizen's native controller support.

Oct 30, 2014 · Best controller for Star Citizen? The best, or the best bang for your buck? Best is probably HOTAS Warthog with one of those R3 mods that makes it a force sensing stick. Altogether over a thousand big ones. You can get comparable performance with a thrustmaster T16000M - fifty dollars.
