Nov 23, 2021 · Ipod touch won't open any apps I have an old iPod touch (from 2008) but when I sync to iTunes, it says it has the latest software. However, I can't open the apple store or any apps. But I can open safari and search the internet. I am connected to my wifi, and I am signed in with my apple ID.

May 29, 2023 · I think I'm correct in stating that access to the iTunes Store from an iPod requires iOS 10.0 or later, which means that your 4th generation iPod Touch can no longer use the Store directly. If you wish to buy music from the iTunes Store, you can do so from iTunes on your computer*, and then use iTunes to copy those purchases to your iPod.

Jan 3, 2022 · (Addressing only the "issue"), there's no way around it short of replacing the iPod with a new model. If you decide to use that option, get the 7th generation Touch rather than the 6th gen one. The 6th generation iPod Touch cannot install iOS 13 or later, so you would be short-changing yourself to buy one. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
