Dec 21, 2023 · I would like to warm up the battery for optimal use but from what I understand that can only be done when using the schedule. Tesla keeps the battery at a temperature around 50F (10C) in temperatures above -10C (14F) from my testing. At these temperatures the Tesla battery is in the optimal use parameters.

From the OEM battery manufacturer's manual it doesn't even look like they are AGM, so your replacement didn't have to be either. 2023 Tesla Model Y LR AWD "Event Horizon".

Dec 7, 2023 · Tesla A starts with an 80% (64.8 kWh) charge and arrives at a Supercharger without preconditioning at 30% (24.3 kWh). Tesla B starts with an 80% (64.8 kWh) charge and arrives at a Supercharger with preconditioning at 25% (20.25 kWh) because it used 4.05 kWh (13,819 BTU) to raise the temperature of the battery. Both vehicles start charging.

Sep 22, 2023 · The car sent me the following alerts: 12 volt battery needs service. The car will not support all devices. Those are two semi-boring alerts from the car. Semi-boring because the first is very boring, but the second one indicates that the 12V battery is no longer capable of high amperage draws.

Apr 29, 2022 · Food for thought: I don't think you can even buy a new battery from Tesla, it would be factory reconditioned. So it will probably be around the same age, and have an average amount of degredation. And from how my own nearly 4 year old battery looks with 6%-ish degredation, you might actually be worse off with a replacement after dropping $20k ...

Source for 350V and 230 Ah, see page 3 here) Usable capacity: 78.27 kWh (Source: see page 6 footer here) Buffer: 80.5-78.27= 2.23 kWh. Here is a screenshot of the battery management system that shows 77.3 kWh capacity.
