Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce are the latest awards contenders to receive honors at this year’s Santa Barbara International Film Festival. On Tuesday, festival organizers revealed “The Brutalist” co-stars will be given the Cinema Vanguard Award at the 40th annual SBIFF next year.

The Vanguard Award recognizes the collective work of a film’s cast and director on a particular project. This year, “Emilia Pérez” stars Karla Sofia Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez and Edgar Ramírez will be presented the award alongside director Jacques Audiard.

The Palm Springs Film Festival has set Adrien Brody for its 2025 Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actor, for his “career best” turn in The Brutalist, and Conclave is set for its Ensemble Performance Award.
