Topeka got a near record snowfall during Sunday's snowstorm. Here's what to know about how the city and community is addressing it.

Topeka is under a blizzard warning until midnight. The National Weather Service is predicting heavy snow and widespread blowing snow throughout Sunday. The high temperature will be near 20 degrees with wind chill values between -3 degrees and 4 degrees. The north wind will be about 20-25 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 40 miles per hour.

City crews are working nonstop to clear residential streets in Topeka. City of Topeka spokesman Dan Garrett told 27 News on Jan. 6 that city workers expect two to four days to address all the streets in Topeka.

Parts of Topeka and Shawnee County started seeing sleet Saturday afternoon, with forecasters saying the area could accumulate up to a foot of snow.
