Naomi Osaka might be more comfortable on grass courts these days but she will once again leave Wimbledon in the third round after a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 loss to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Naomi Osaka, back at Wimbledon without the trappings of a top-ranked player, looked every bit the Grand Slam great for a set on July 4. But the old rhythm ebbed away, and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova stormed back to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

In the midst of her best Wimbledon run since 2018, Naomi Osaka came up short. Osaka was eliminated in the third round of the tournament Friday in a match against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
