During Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, he suffered a painful injury late in the fourth quarter. After Zion Williamson attacked the rim and got past Alperen Sengun, Adams contested the shot. He landed awkwardly and injured his ankle.
Houston Rockets center Steven Adams had surgery on his left ankle and is out for the season, the team announced on Wednesday. The Rockets said the surgery was successful and Adams is expected to make a full recovery.
