Reba McEntire spoke out about former stepson Brandon Blackstock's death. She was previously married to Brandon's father Narvel Blackstock from 1989 to 2015.

An obituary for the late talent manager revealed that Blackstock was “building a life” with Clarkson’s former assistant, Brittney Marie Jones, as he lost his battle with cancer.

Blackstock, who was married to Kelly Clarkson from 2013 to 2022 and shared two children with the “Since U Been Gone” singer, passed away Aug. 7 following a lengthy battle with melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer. His family announced the shocking news in a statement obtained by The Post.

Sources tell PEOPLE that Blackstock, who was previously married to Kelly Clarkson, moved to Montana three years ago, when he was diagnosed, and bought the home in Butte where he died. In a statement announcing his death, a rep for the family echoed Hollis's statement, and also noted that Blackstock was "surrounded by family" when he died.
