On Thursday night, rookie quarterback Drake Maye made his NFL debut during garbage time, running out the clock while getting some enhanced preseason reps against a stout defense.

-- Even the reliable parts of the Patriots offense unraveled at MetLife Stadium. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson appeared to suffer a finger injury after getting flagged for a facemask in the first half. In the second half, he lost his first fumble of the season.

But now the shine is starting to come off Mayo and the coaching staff. The Patriots were blown off the field Thursday night in New Jersey, unable to do much of anything right against the Jets. This after the Patriots lost to the Seahawks thanks to poor clock management and bad situational football.
