The body of 62-year-old Marites Buenafe, a missing cruise passenger, has been found after she vanished while on a solo hike in Alaska, authorities have said.

Dr. Marites Buenafe, 62, was reported missing Tuesday after she failed to return to the Norwegian Bliss before its departure from Juneau, according to the Alaska State Troopers.

A Kentucky doctor who was previously reported missing in Alaska has been found dead, the Juneau Police Department said.
