TikTok’s U.S. operations might soon have a new owner - Elon Musk. Chinese officials are said to be considering allowing the sale of the social network to the billionaire.

After years of rejecting the idea of a sale of TikTok’s US assets to an American buyer in order to avert a ban, China and ByteDance may have found an owner they could live with: Elon Musk.

Elon Musk, who purchased Twitter in April 2022, may acquire another social media platform used by billions in the eleventh hour of the looming TikTok ban.
