Jones was ordered to sell off his notorious conspiracy theory platform InfoWars, along with its parent company Free Speech Systems, to help pay off the nearly $1.5 billion he owes in damages to families of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting.

Alex Jones revealed on Monday that his far-right site InfoWars might shut down as its assets are set to be auctioned off Wednesday. Jones pledged to “stay on air until the last minute” but stated that the fate of the controversial website depends on its buyer.

The satirical site will immediately shut down the infamous conspiracy platform and work with leading gun safety organization to turn it into humor site.

Infowars was put up for auction by court order. Alex Jones owes more than $1 billion to the families of Sandy Hook school shooting victims.
