Celtics' Jayson Tatum listed as 'questionable,' on verge of return 9 months after Achilles surgery
BOSTON (AP) — Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum is on the verge of making a return to NBA action nine months after rupturing his right Achilles tendon injury during last season’s playoffs. Tatum was listed as questionable on the Celtics’ injury report on Thursday ahead of the team’s home matchup with the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.
When Jayson Tatum tore his Achilles in the spring of 2025, the assumption across the league was that the Celtics would spend 2025-26 treading water. Most projections had Boston somewhere near the play-in tournament.
The release schedule of Jayson Tatum's docuseries covering his comeback may have moved up, which could be a good sign for the Celtics.
