A heads up if you take public transit. Starting July 1, fares are going up for many Bay Area transit agencies. Also, the toll for crossing the Golden Gate Bridge will also increase.

There will be free Metro fares for all from 5 p.m. until close on Metrorail, Metrobus, and MetroAccess on Friday.
