Yes, Walmart will be open on the first day of the yea r. Shoppers will be able to visit the store to pick up groceries and other necessities on Wednesday, Jan. 1, similar to last year. It will be open during regular store hours from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. as usual on the holiday.
