Parts of New Jersey are starting to get pelted by strong thunderstorms with heavy downpours, small hail and gusty winds, prompting the National Weather Service to issue severe thunderstorm warnings in one county Tuesday afternoon.

At 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the NWS Medford OR released a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 5:30 p.m. for Siskiyou County.

The storm involved winds of 60 mph as measured at Chicago Executive Airport. Damage to roofs, siding, and trees was a risk.
