Reyne Smith scored 30 points while matching his career high with a school-record 10 3-pointers and No. 25 Louisville won its first game as a ranked team in four years, beating Atlantic Coast Conference newcomer SMU 98-73.

No. 25 Louisville went into the heart of Dallas and handed the SMU Mustangs their most embarrassing loss of the season.

Louisville’s lead grew to as much as 26 points in the first half, and the Cardinals led 50-27 at halftime. They were able to expand their lead to as much as 32 points early in the second half before SMU went on a 17-6 run midway through the second half to cut the lead to 18. But that was as close as the Ponies would get.
