Mayor Ras Baraka, a critic of Delaney Hall Detention Center’s opening in Newark, was accused of trespassing and ignoring warnings to leave, the Associated Press reported, leading to his arrest. He was released within hours, but the Department of Homeland Security soon accused the mayor of “storming” the facility gates.
