Hyman and his family have officially purchased the OHL's Brantford Bulldogs from Ottawa Senators owner Michael Andlauer.

Since taking over as the owner of the Ottawa Senators last year, Michael Andlauer has had his hands full. He's been trying to get his new NHL team back on track, on and off the ice, while continuing to run ATS Healthcare and his other high-end businesses.

Following the acquisition of the team by a group led by Zach Hyman's family, it was announced on Wednesday that the Ontario Hockey League team had signed a 15-year agreement with the city of Brantford to play in the city's proposed new arena.

The OHL says the new ownership group is pursuing a long-term lease agreement with the city that would include plans for a new arena.

Michael Andlauer has sold the Brantford Bulldogs to a group led by Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman, the OHL team announced Monday. The league's board of directors has approved the sale, and Hyman will assume control of team operations starting Jan. 16.

The OHL announced Monday they approved the transfer of ownership of Brantford to a group led by Hyman and his family, including his brother Spencer and father Stuart, from Michael Andlauer, whose purchase of the Ottawa Senators was approved by the NHL Board of Governors on Sept. 21, 2023.

Oilers left winger Zach Hyman released a statement after the OHL Board of Governors approved a transfer of ownership of the Brantford Bulldogs to him and his family.
