The Israeli military surrounded one of the last functioning hospitals in northern Gaza, ordering patients and staff to evacuate and remove their clothing, say eyewitnesses, as concern grows for patients and health workers that remain in the facility.

CAIRO − Israeli forces on Friday raided the Kamal Adwan Hospital, one of three medical facilities on the northern edge of Gaza, ordering dozens of patients and hundreds of others to evacuate and leaving part of the site on fire,

Israel has banned the pan-Arab Al Jazeera network and accused six of its Gaza reporters of being militants. The Qatar-based broadcaster denies the allegations and accuses Israel of trying to silence its war coverage, which has focused heavily on civilian casualties from Israeli military operations.

An Israeli strike on the international airport in Sanaa, Yemen, on Dec. 26, killed at least four people, according to local media. Houthi attacks on Israel have ramped up in recent weeks.

The Israel Defense Forces claimed responsibility for a series of airstrikes in Yemen on Thursday it claimed were targeting Houthi military infrastructure.
