Elon Musk doesn’t want to be known as the “boy who cried FSD” anymore, a moniker he gave himself for his many years of repeated promises related to autonomous driving. Now, he claims that Tesla’s (TSLA) technology is better than ever and will be used for rideshare services as soon as June.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk told investors last year that the company was aiming for a 2025 launch of its self-driving service in California and Texas. The company appears to be on track to hit that target. Musk said during Tesla's fourth-quarter earnings call on Wednesday that the automaker is on pace to launch its self-driving service as early as June 2025,

Tesla said it was on track to roll out new, cheaper electric vehicle models in the first half of 2025 and would start testing an autonomous ride-hailing service in June, enthusing investors and overshadowing quarterly results that fell short of Wall Street expectations on Wednesday.
