The late Mohamed Al-Fayed has been accused of rape by five women who worked for Harrods in a new BBC investigation, drawing attention to his royal connections.

The Egyptian businessman, owner of Harrods and the Ritz, died in 2023 at the age of 94. Following the revelations of a series of BBC documentaries, more than 30 women claim to have been sexually assaulted or raped by the man who was then their boss.
