The Champions League has been revamped for this season with the introduction of a league stage - and English clubs have already earned a significant sum.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Aston Villa have learned their fates for the next stage of the Champions League following the conclusion of the league phase. Liverpool had already guaranteed a top-eight spot and a place in the last-16 having won their first seven games in this year’s competition.

Arsenal, with a rotated squad, defeated Girona on the final day of the league phase to secure a round of 16 spot.
