President Donald Trump says it's possible that Ukraine can defeat Russia, but he’s doubtful that it will happen.

Ukraine and Russia should “stop at the battle lines” and end the war, U.S. President Donald Trump has said, suggesting that negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow should start on the basis of the current territorial situation.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to push Trump for additional long-range weapons capable of striking targets inside Russian territory when he meets with Trump in Washington at the White House on Friday.

President Donald Trump has suggested that the Donbas region of Ukraine should be divided, leaving most of it under Russian control, to end the ongoing war.

Last month, Trump claimed that Ukraine could reclaim all of its occupied territory, and last week raised the possibility of delivering Tomahawk missiles —which have a range of more than 1,500 miles with incredible accuracy—to Kyiv should Russia not end its assault.
