The Jacksonville Jaguars welcomed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen as their new head coach on Monday, and he confirmed he will maintain a key component of why he was hired as their head coach.

Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is believed to be one of the leading candidates for the vacant Jaguars head coaching position as he prepares for a second interview with the team. Coen, 39, is set to have his second interview on Wednesday, and he could be offered the job as soon as then, the Tampa Bay Times reported Tuesday .

Under new head coach Liam Coen, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ search for their next offensive coordinator is underway. Coen did mention during his introductory press conference that he will be the one calling plays for the offense.

For newly hired Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen, this fall won’t be the first instance of him standing on the sidelines as quarterback Trevor Lawrence plays a game.
