Saquon Barkley is within reach of the NFL rushing record. Here's why he likely won't get the chance to break it.

There's a possibility that the Philadelphia Eagles rest star running back Saquon Barkley and the rest of their starters in Week 18 against the New York Giants if they know who they're going to play in the playoffs.

After a big first quarter where he ran for 109 yards and two touchdowns, the Commanders' defense focused on stopping Barkley without Jalen Hurts on the field. Barkley was limited to 13 yards, for a first-half total of 122 yards.

The Philadelphia Eagles have just two games left in the regular season before hopefully making a long playoff run. Over the next two weeks, the Eagles will try to fight for the best playoff positioning possible while also looking to win the NFC East crown.
