While Prime Video’s first season as a NBA broadcaster won’t be until this fall, parent company Amazon is already making some notable hires for that coverage. As per previous reports, they’ve already added Ian Eagle as their lead play-by-play voice for those games and Taylor Rooks as their studio host.

Amazon Prime Video is making major moves ahead of its inaugural NBA coverage, which will begin in the 2025-26 season. According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, the streamer has tapped former NBA stars Dirk Nowitzki and Blake Griffin to join host Taylor Rooks in the studio.

Dirk Nowitzki will reportedly team up with another former All-Star when Amazon begins covering the NBA next season. According to The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand, Nowitzki and Blake Griffin will join broadcaster Taylor Rooks for Amazon Prime Video’s studio coverage of the NBA.

Taylor Rooks, who has done incredible work with Turner Sports, will host the program. Ian Eagle, one of the best broadcasters in the game, is the lead play-by-play announcer for the network. It is unclear who else will join him in the booth.
