The San Jose Earthquakes faced Inter Miami in an exciting matchup featuring several goals by both teams. Superstar Lionel Messi helped set up two of Miami’s goals.

Lionel Messi tried but could not snap a 3-3 tie between Inter Miami and host San Jose on Wednesday at soldout PayPal Park.

Dickerson was not the only person who reacted strongly to Messi's petulant behavior. Current San Jose and former United States Men's National Team coach Bruce Arena had to intervene in order to save the Inter Miami star from himself. "That's universal language when you're talking about referees," Arena said with a grin after the game.
