Security has been tightened following a call for a city-wide shutdown by a right-wing group on 6 October, the day the T20I leg of Bangladesh’s tour of India gets underway in Gwalior.

The distance between the hotel and the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium, where the Bangladesh team has been practising since October 3, is about 23 km and the players are moving freely as per their schedule amid security cover. “Providing security to the visiting team over just 3 km was never an issue from our side,” the official said.
