The match between Valencia and Real Madrid has been following massive flooding in Spain. Overall, more than 200 people died in the flooding which hit Valencia and surrounding areas while more rain is expected to be on the way adding to the chaos.

La Liga officially postponed this weekend's clash between Valencia and Real Madrid due to the DANA natural disaster.

Valencia’s La Liga match against Real Madrid on Saturday has been postponed as a result of flash flooding and extreme weather conditions in the region. Local government officials said on Wednesday evening that 92 people have been killed in flash floods caused by torrential rain in the eastern region of the province,

Laliga has requested the postponement of first and second division matches in the Valencia area this weekend, the Spanish federation said Wednesday, after floods in the south-east of Spain left at least 70 people dead.

Five of seven Copa del Rey matches have been postponed again by the Spanish football federation (RFEF) on Monday after Spain's worst flash floods in modern history killed at least 217 people in the Valencia region,
