Packers sign Desmond Ridder to practice squad before Vikings finale
The Packers added quarterback depth Wednesday, signing Desmond Ridder to the practice squad as Jordan Love remained in concussion protocol ahead of Sunday’s regular-season finale at the Minnesota Vikings. Coach Matt LaFleur said Love “still has yet to be cleared but he’ll practice today.”
Green Bay will be linked to free agent Trevon Diggs given his connection to Micah Parsons, but he is unlikely to be a game changer for the Packers.
In addition to the previously reported waiver claim of defensive lineman Jonathan Ford, they have signed cornerbacks Shemar Bartholomew and Jaylin Simpson to the active roster. Both players were on their practice squad.
