Grok, the chatbot developed by the Elon Musk-founded company xAI, has removed what it called "inappropriate" social media posts after complaints from X users and the Anti-Defamation League that Grok produced content with antisemitic tropes and praise for Adolf Hitler.
On Wednesday night, Elon Musk unveiled xAI's latest flagship models Grok 4 and Grok 4 Heavy via livestream, just one day after the company's Grok chatbot began generating outputs that featured blatantly antisemitic tropes in responses to users on X.
This is the smartest AI in the world,” Musk said. He did not mention the chatbot’s viral posts praising Hitler and calling itself “MechaHitler.”
AI has officially lunched Grok 4 during a livestream with Elon Musk, who called it the "smartest AI in the world." He said that if you make the Grok 4 take the SATs and the GREs, it would get near perfect results every time and can answer questions it's never seen before.
Yaccarino made the announcement a day after the social media site’s AI chatbot made antisemitic statements. She did not offer a reason for her resignation.
Elon Musk faces backlash after Grok AI made antisemitic remarks. Critics say Musk’s tweaks to the model steer it from fact-based responses.
