Focus Features has officially announced the casting of Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, who have signed on for the leading roles in the upcoming musical drama titled Song Sung Blue. Jackman most recently starred in Marvel Studios’ first R-rated movie Deadpool vs.

"Hustle and Flow" helmer Craig Brewer will write and direct the Focus Features film, which co-stars Michael Imperioli, Fisher Stevens, Jim Belushi, and King Princess.

The pair have been lined up to star in Song Sung Blue, which follows a couple who form a Neil Diamond tribute band. Song Sung Blue will be directed by Craig Brewer and is based on the 2008 documentary of the same name.
