Microsoft has made the $1 Xbox Game Pass trial unavailable just as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's launch is around the corner. Microsoft is bringing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Xbox Cloud Gaming on its launch day (October 25). In addition, Modern Warfare III and the battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone arrive on the platform on the same day.

Xbox appears to have removed the option to try Game Pass for 14 days for $1 in preparation for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6's release.

Amazon-owned retailer Woot is joining in on the Prime Big Deal Days fun with Game Pass Ultimate three-month subscription codes for only $29.

Microsoft ends its $1 Game Pass trial ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launch, pushing users to higher subscription tiers. The game will be available day-one on Game Pass, marking a major move for the platform post-Activision acquisition.

Black Ops 6 is the first Call of Duty game to launch day-one on Game Pass. It comes a year after Microsoft’s $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which has also seen the likes of Diablo 4 and Modern Warfare 3 hit the subscription service, and will see StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection arrive in November.

As expected, Xbox Game Pass' offerings for the rest of October mostly consist of Call of Duty games, but Starcraft is coming too.

The eclectic mix of stuff coming to Xbox Game Pass over the next few weeks includes some Call of Duty games, some nasty zombies, StarCraft, a South Park RPG, and a wonderful indie game about a growing hole.

A recent announcement from Xbox means that Call of Duty fans will have more of an incentive to become Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in October.
