The White House May 14 first announced the deal between Cincinnati-based GE Aerospace (NYSE: GE), the world’s largest aircraft engine manufacturer, and Qatar Airways, the seventh-largest airline in the world as of 2024 and among the fastest growing, according to Airways Magazine.

President Donald Trump facilitated over $200 billion in commercial deals between the U.S. and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during his historic visit to the Middle Eastern country, according to the White House.

Qatar Airways committed to acquiring as many as 210 widebody jets in a deal projected to be worth $96 billion, supporting over 150,000 jobs.

The White House also re-announced an agreement between Boeing, GE Aerospace, and the UAE, which appears to be part of a decade-long deal initially agreed to by the three parties in October of 2024. The White House also announced a deal between ExxonMobil and several UAE energy companies to expand oil and natural gas production in the UAE.
