The fifth-year UNC basketball guard overtook a former two-time All-ACC performer as the Tar Heels' leader in 3-point makes.

In its final nonconference game of the regular season, North Carolina handled in-state foe Campbell at the Smith Center, while RJ Davis set a scoring mark for the Tar Heels.

UNC basketball star RJ Davis hasn't enjoyed a sizzling start to his graduate campaign in Chapel Hill. However, the 23-year-old New York native has heated up a smidge of late, including 46 points across the unranked Tar Heels' loss to Florida and win over UCLA last week.

The North Carolina Tar Heels entered Sunday's non-conference basketball finale against Campbell with one goal in the back of their minds: build some needed momentum heading into ACC play. Sunday proved to be much more than that,

Ian Jackson scored 26 points and became the first player since Cole Anthony in 2020 to 24 or more points in consecutive games.

We’ve sort of been waiting for RJ Davis to really get going offensively this season, and perhaps tonight will be the night we look back on as when the fifth year grad student was able to turn things around.
