The NTSB wants to severely restrict helicopter traffic near Ronald Reagan National Airport, officials said Tuesday, in the wake of a catastrophic midair collision that killed 67 people.

It’s been more than a month since an American Airlines plane and a U.S. Black Hawk helicopter collided and plunged into the Potomac River, killing 67 people. On Tuesday, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will hold a media briefing to share the latest details of their investigation.

Army helicopter and a passenger airplane over Washington, D.C., killed 67 people, making it the deadliest U.S. air disaster since 2001. The National Transportation Safety Board has provided some preliminary information about the crash that sent both aircraft into the Potomac River.
