The Seattle Seahawks made a big move in NFL free agency to sign former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold to a lucrative three-year, $100.5 million contract. That did not stop them from using their third-round pick to take Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has found his new NFL home, as he was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the No. 92 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. That's the selection the Seahawks acquired in the Geno Smith trade with the Las Vegas Raiders last month.

The Seahawks took Milroe in the third round on Friday night and added him to a roster that already had four quarterbacks. At the top of the depth chart is Sam Darnold. Seattle signed the No. 2 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft after he resurrected his career with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024.
