Mumbai, added another chapter to its storied legacy by winning the Irani Cup for the 15th time against Rest of India (RoI) on Saturday at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Mumbai’s last Irani Cup victory came during the 1997-98 season and since then, the domestic powerhouse appeared in eight more finals without success, the last of which was in the 2015-16 season.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is preparing to honor the Ajinkya Rahane -led Team Mumbai team for their recent Irani Cup triumph. This marks the team's first victory in this prestigious tournament in 27 years. The felicitation ceremony will take place at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, as confirmed by MCA President Ajinkya Naik.
