Marina Mabrey and the Connecticut Sun were up by as much as 21 points in Sunday’s game against the Indiana Fever. However, thanks to a career day from WNBA All-Star Kelsey Mitchell, who scored 38 points, the Fever were able to escape with a 99-93 overtime win.
The Connecticut Sun were eliminated from WNBA playoff contention with a brutal loss before a “home” crowd, much of it was cheering Indiana.
Stephanie White praised her Fever squad for rallying back from the 21-point deficit to beat the Sun 99-93 in overtime on Sunday.
