The Cowboys pulled off a blockbuster trade on NFL trade deadline day in acquiring a three-time Pro Bowler from the New York Jets.
Both the Dallas Cowboys ' defensive overhaul and the New York Jets ' teardown continued Tuesday, with New York sending three-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Quinnen Williams to Dallas in exchange for a 2027 first-round pick, a 2026 second-round pick and defensive lineman Mazi Smith, as reported by CBS Sports senior NFL insider Jonathan Jones.
The Cowboys traded for Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson on Tuesday, sending back defensive tackle Mazi Smith and future draft picks. With the extra spot on the roster the Cowboys announced that they’re waiving backup running back Malik Davis.
