A mob has demolished the home of ousted Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her relatives' properties. This follows her exile due to 15 years of repression, leading to student-led protests. The interim government headed by Muhammad Yunus is working on reforms and accountability for past human rights abuses.

Protesters in Bangladesh have demolished more houses of leaders of Sheikh Hasina's Awami League and defaced murals of the country's founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman after they vandalised and set on fire the former family home of the deposed prime minister.

Bangladesh's new government is struggling to deal with a host of issues, including a stumbling economy and human rights violations, left behind by the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina six months ago.
