The Iowa State men remain No. 3 in the latest AP Poll Top 25, which was released on Monday. Following a win over Morgan State, the Cyclones (10-1) check in behind SEC powers Tennessee and Auburn, keeping the Top 3 the same for another week.

USC moved up three spots in the AP Top 25 after beating UConn 72-70 in a rematch of last season’s Elite Eight game that the Huskies won.

After suffering an 87-69 loss to Auburn on Saturday, Purdue dropped outside the top-20 in the latest Associated Press poll.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — There won’t be the usual churn in the Associated Press men’s college basketball Top 25 poll this week. Only one Top 15 team lost — Kentucky, which went down against four-loss Ohio State in Madison Square Garden. Purdue, now a four-loss team, led the pack of six other ranked teams that fell.

Auburn strengthened its case to be No. 1 in the AP Top 25 poll after defeating Purdue. Cincinnati and Dayton squared off in a close battle. Tennessee, Florida and Oklahoma remained undefeated with the Sooners narrowly escaping against Michigan.

Tennessee and Auburn remained Nos. 1-2 atop the AP men's college basketball poll, which featured 10 total SEC teams.

Although the same team is atop this week's Associated Press Top 25 men's college basketball poll, released on Monday, there is a heavy SEC presence and some movement throughout the rankings.

Christmas week is here and the college basketball action is poised to slow down a bit for the holidays. How will the newly minted Top 25 teams fare in their matchups this week?
