What a total disappointment to be fair. trying to get drinks or food was a nightmare. we gave up & left after the main race. Full review by stewart b
We are going down to the Cup next year 2020 with P & O I know general admission is include but we would like to have a seat with views of the trach, access to food, beverage and toilets. We have been looking at the various marquees and also reserved seating. It’s all getting a bit confusing I suppose as we haven’t been before. We’ve heard the Wiining Post whilst expensive is a fantastic spot. Any suggestions people that might help us out. Colin

Don't bother going shocking place emoyet doesnt give arats about sta f or others overcrowded overpriced a rip off country race meets better value Get a designated driver t Give Flemington a muss always issues with pub transport trains pjs in like sardines vrc doesnt care same rubbish every year dont support human cruelty casual staff het sacked every year I lost my job due to workplace accident running to aid of other stsff person completed incident report no follow up by vrc club thry dont care
Does anyone have recommendations of whether to go into the stands or the precinct? We are attending this year and want something a bit better than general admission
A:
The stands are definitely better if it rains, which it often does. You also get a better view of the track.
We are booked on a cruise to the Melbourne Cup 2019. We have general admission included in our cruise cost but would like to sit in a reserved area that we can see the races and be dry in case it rains. Wondering what Saintly Place would be like, can anyone who has actually sat in this area at the Melbourne Cup give me there opinion if it was worth the money.
A:
I can't comment on Saintly Place directly. When we went to the Cup recently, we booked a place in the Grandstand, which is under cover. I suggest you make inquiries online.
