About how much time should a person plan to spend here? We will have 2 children, ages 9 and 6 with us.

Multiple hiking trails so be prepared, time depends on how much hiking you want to do. Go to the visitor center first.
Q:
What is the closest spot to spend the night in a hotel or cabin?
A:
We stayed in Alpine and drove there. It was a pleasant drive there and we got to visit the restaurants and brewery in the town.
