Hello! My dad and I are doing our own WWII tour through Europe. I am a 6th grade history teacher and my dad is a big history buff. We are so excited about our trip but having some trouble. I am planning it all for him and I am having the HARDEST time finding a day tour from Brussels to Bastogne to see the Battle of the Bulge history. I would hate to cancel this part of our trip. We will be arriving from Omaha Beach to Brussels on June1 and had scheduled a full day to tour Bastogne on Tuesday, June 2. You are booked that day and so is every other tour I can find. Do you have any ideas for us at all on what to do? I'm not sure who else to ask. Thank you for your time.

I am planning on attending the Belgium Grand Prix in Early September and would like to tour The Battle of the Bulge. We will ge staying in Aachen, Germany. Where should I go to get a tour? Preferably by train as I will not have a car.

Hi Michael The Grand Prix sounds great! The area around the track is very hilly and pretty. For touring the Battle of the Bulge areas, I would try to book a tour online before you go if possible. We met our tour guide (Roby Clam) in Bastogne and that is central to much of what you will want to see. Obviously you are already looking here on TripAdvisor but also try Lonely Planet and others for recommendations. There is a tourist office right on the main square "Place MacAuliffe" there in Bastogne that can most likely get you a guide if you are not able to book it ahead of time. I peeked at the DB Bahn website and it looks like a train might be somewhat challenging and over 4 hours one way if the trains are on time. Aachen to Liege to one or 2 other places then maybe a bus into Bastogne. Perhaps Viator will have an organized tour from Aachen or Liege and you could join that and it would be a lot easier. We have had good luck with the quality of the Viator tours. Otherwise, I'd recommend renting a car if possible. The driving around there is easy, just watch your speed, especially going through the numerous tiny towns. The roads are good and well marked. Good luck!
We will be in Paris in late August and would like to take a 2 day/1 night side trip with a guide to the Battle of Bulge area. What do you recommend ?

We took a Bastogne tour with Roby Clam. Took us to Fox Woods to see the fox holes also a few buildings that show were they were damaged then to a great museum. We only did a day trip. Stay in Hotel Leo right in Bastogne Town Square.
We would like to book a tour for 4 people during the first week of May 2019. Can you send us information and costs? Thank you Daron Mackey
