WEBOct 24, 2019 · The original has the better soundtrack and atmosphere. Twin Snakes made some solid gameplay improvements. It cuts basically 90% of the tedious backtracking that was in the original as well as added plenty of QOL changes that were in MGS2. These do make the game much easier but also less frustrating to play. Both are worth checking out.

If it hadn't been released, I likely would never have got into the series, and it spurned me on to play MGS2, MGS3, and MGS4. It was a really fun game, replayable, great scenario, mechanically sound and just very enjoyable.
